Angle Roll Operator / Brake Press Operator

We are currently looking for a full-time experienced Angle Roll Operator, with a minimum 3-5 years’ experience in structural steel fabrication industry.
Responsibilities:
The Angle Roll Operator will perform all required tasks essential to daily production in the press and roll area, and should have experience in advanced forming of products, and set-up of machines. In addition, responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
· Measuring and marking sheet metal.
· Ability to operate metal working machines (press brake, shear, roll, saw, punch, etc.).
· Ability to read and interpret drawings and blue prints, to identify measurements of each operation specified, within the allowable tolerance.
· Maintain tool boards and shop equipment.
· Perform repairs on machinery / trouble shoot machinery issues.
· Grinding, cutting, buffing, and other shop related tasks required.
Qualification Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a metal fabrication industry.
- Journeyman Metal Fabricator Ticket is an asset and preferred.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrates a proactive, dedicated and driven attitude.
- Team player, positively contributing to team dynamics and working well with others in a collaborative environment.
- Must have your own CSA 6” (minimum) steel toed boots.
- Must have your own transportation.
**Preference will be given to applicants with relevant industry knowledge.
The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Overtime shifts are required when scheduled / needed.
