Cabinet maker- MINIMUM 2 Years Experience in custom Cabinet shop
Creative Innovations is a family-owned business with offices in the Manchester area of Calgary. We provide Residential custom millwork, and commercial millwork to our clients and work with Calgary's top designers in addition to home renovations services.
Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Journeyman/woman Cabinetmaker/Apprentice Cabinetmaker will operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain standard woodworking machinery such as a sliding table saw, shaper, wide belt sander, and compound mitre saw
- Operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components
- Cut, fit and assemble parts to create high quality custom millwork
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finish products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
- Label products accurately for shipping and installation
- Site work installation / deliver parts to sites as needed
- Ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the entire process
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Cabinetmaker / Apprentice / or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 millwork shop experience (custom millwork experience considered an asset)
- Proficient in using an array of specialized power tools, machines, and hand tools
- Read, interpret, and create cut lists from shop drawings and specifications
- Drivers license and Clean Drivers abstract
- Has reliable self transportation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
