DC Steel is a rebar installation company working on commercial and residential projects across the Lower Mainland. We run multiple active sites and are known for showing up, working hard, and doing the job right.
We are looking for an experienced Rebar Installation Foreman who leads by example. The right candidate will bring strong leadership, a positive attitude, and the reliability our crews and clients can count on every day. What You’ll Be Doing
- Ordering steel and coordinating deliveries according to priorities and site schedules
- Unloading trucks and utilizing the crane to fly steel into position
- Attending site meetings and maintaining a positive working relationship with general contractor and other trades
- Reviewing structural drawings and developing plans and schedules accordingly
- Providing clear instruction on daily tasks with effective delegation to crew members based on their capabilities and experience
- Providing training to new workers to strengthen and elevate the crew
- Monitoring attendance of crew and forecasting adequate manpower in advance
- Resolving problems as they arise
- Ensuring all safety precautions are met and work is being conducted according to safe work procedures
- Working with inspectors to guarantee quality standards are met
- Maintaining a respectful and enjoyable working environment
Requirements and Skill
- Proven experience as a rebar foreman on large scale projects
- In-depth knowledge of rebar installation procedures including but not limited to core footings, transfer slabs and rigging methods
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and detail sheets
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to delegate
- Ability to communicate effectively and consult with higher management, site superintendents, other trades and detailers
- Problem-solving and ability to make quick decisions
- Good physical condition

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute:
- Vancouver, BC: reliable transportation (required)
Experience:
- Rebar installation: 5 years (preferred)
