Millwork Installer - AyA NL Design Studio
AyA NL Design Studio is seeking an experienced cabinet and millwork installer to join us on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a skilled installer looking for flexible, per-project work installing high-quality kitchen cabinetry and millwork. Ongoing work is available for the right candidate.
Location
Projects throughout St. John’s, NL and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Deliver cabinetry to site, including loading and transport as needed
- Install kitchen cabinetry and millwork to a high standard
- Perform precise scribing, fitting, and finishing work
- Install fillers, decorative panels, crown mouldings, hardware, and accessories
- Read and interpret plans and drawings accurately
- Coordinate with designers and project managers when required
- Ensure clean, professional finishes on all installations
- Identify and resolve installation challenges on-site
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, especially in occupied homes
- Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with clients
Requirements
- Proven experience installing cabinetry and/or millwork
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Own tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and performing hands-on work
- Experience with equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts is considered an asset
Schedule
Flexible schedule. Installation timelines will be discussed in advance for each project. Availability to commit to agreed-upon dates and times is required so we can coordinate with clients.
Pay
This is a per-project contract position. Compensation will vary depending on the scope and complexity of each installation.
