Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Assistant to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals interested in the dental field who want to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment. No prior laboratory experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in dental technology and laboratory procedures while contributing to the creation of high-quality restorations.
Duties
Assist with the fabrication, maintenance and finishing of dental prosthetics, such as complete dentures , partial dentures and night guards.
Model Production: Learn to pour plaster, stone, and silicone to create accurate dental models from impressions.
Learn to process new dentures and relines, rebases and repairs on existing dentures
Digital Workflow: Learn CAD/CAM workflows.
Follow detailed instructions and specifications provided by denturists
Assist with inventory management of lab supplies and materials
Support the team in quality control processes to ensure restorations meet required standards
Sterilization & Safety: Maintain strict infection control protocols by sanitizing lab equipment, tools, and workstations.
Experience
You do not need prior dental experience to excel in this role! We provide comprehensive, hands-on, on-the-job training. This position is a perfect fit for individuals with exceptional hand-eye coordination, fine attention to detail, or backgrounds in precision hobbies/trades (such as jewelry making, fine arts, miniature model crafting, 3D printing, or electronics repair).
High Manual Dexterity: You must have steady hands and excellent fine motor skills for working with small, fragile materials.
Strong Attention to Detail: A commitment to accuracy; you notice errors that measure in fractions of a millimeter.
Tech-Literate: Comfortable learning new computer software for digital laboratory scanning.
Reliable & Teachable: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a genuine eagerness to take direction and learn a new trade.
Communication Skills: Good spoken and written English to track laboratory cases and communicate with the team.
