Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Administrator/Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental and medical terminology, and experience with dental office software to ensure smooth daily operations. The Dental Administrator/Receptionist plays a vital role in providing excellent patient service, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the clinical team.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments accurately
- Maintain electronic records using Dentrix
- Prepare and update patient files ensuring all information is current and complete
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Handle correspondence via email, text and phone to coordinate patient care
- Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and inventory management
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, and welcoming
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow throughout the day
Skills
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental or medical office environment, or other relevant administrative xperience
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentr
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to enhance patient experience

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
