Job Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Night Shift Supervisor to support our injection moulding operations. This role combines both technical setup responsibilities and floor supervision, making it ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and optimizing injection moulding machines, troubleshooting processing issues, and ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards. This individual will also supervise night shift operations and support team performance on the production floor.
Responsibilities:
- Set up moulds on 100–1000 ton injection moulding machines, including Nissei and Mitsubishi equipment
- Install, remove, and adjust moulds and related auxiliary equipment according to production schedules and SOPs
- Operate overhead crane to safely hang and position moulds
- Connect water lines and verify proper water circuit flow
- Hook up and confirm proper operation of core pulls and hot runners
- Change nozzle tips and complete machine start-ups
- Set up production work cells and prepare machines for operation
- Purge and start machines while ensuring optimal machine parameters are achieved
- Fine tune processes to ensure consistent production quality and efficiency
- Inspect parts and coordinate with QA for first-off approvals
- Monitor production performance and troubleshoot processing or equipment issues as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Supervise and support night shift production staff to ensure operational targets are met
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and manufacturing procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience setting up injection moulds in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of injection moulding processes and machine parameter adjustments
- Experience processing materials such as Nylon, PP, ABS, PC, and PE
- Ability to connect and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment including thermolators, hot runners, and core pulls
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in manufacturing is considered an asset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Able to speak, read, and write in English
- Willingness to work overtime during weekdays and weekends as required
- Certified in Counterbalance Propane

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
