Job Overview
We are seeking a certified Childcare Educator to join our team for the months of July and August 2026 as a summer sub for our Carstairs location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a nurturing and educational environment. This role involves caring for children, facilitating their learning, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and stimulating environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide care for children, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with personal hygiene as needed.
- Foster social, emotional, and physical development through play and structured activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom or play area to ensure a healthy environment.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with children
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that educate while entertaining children.
