Overview
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Sit Down Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods in and out of trailers. This role requires a strong understanding of safe freight handling of all types.
Responsibilities
- Operate SCB forklifts to load, unload from trailers and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Following processes and procedures for accurate tracking of shipments
- Conduct routine inspections on forklifts to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and enhance productivity within the warehouse.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating Sit Down Counterbalance forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- LTL Crossdocking considered an asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by job duties.
- RF scanner use
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
