Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development & Sales Executive to expand our customer base and drive revenue growth across both our freight brokerage and carrier divisions.The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, generating consistent sales, and working closely with our operations team to deliver outstanding logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, email campaigns, and in-person meetings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers, manufacturers, distributors, importers, exporters, and logistics decision-makers.
- Grow revenue across all service offerings including Air, Ocean, LTL, FTL, Dedicated, White Glove, Specialized, Cross-Dock, Warehousing, and Expedited Transportation.
- Identify opportunities for both brokerage and carrier-based freight.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close new business.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM software.
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct customer visits and presentations to promote Paramount Pathways' services.
- Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion and cross-selling.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or supply chain sales.
- Proven track record of generating new business and meeting sales targets.
- Strong understanding of freight transportation within Canada and the United States.
- Knowledge of Air Freight, Ocean Freight, LTL, FTL, Dedicated Transportation, and Warehousing is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client meetings.
