Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various locking systems and security devices. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure the safety and security of our clients’ properties. The Locksmith will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace locks, keys, and security systems in commercial settings
- Conduct lockout services for clients who are locked out of their premises or vehicles
- Perform maintenance on existing locking mechanisms to ensure optimal functionality
- Cut keys accurately using key cutting machines and other tools
- Assess security needs of clients and recommend appropriate locking solutions
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic lock issues efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all operations
Skills
- Proven experience as a Locksmith or in a similar role with hands-on knowledge of lock systems and security devices
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex lock problems
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to operate locksmith tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with electronic access control systems, master keying, and security system installation
