Position Title: Accounting Manager – Medical Associates of Port Perry

Status: Full-Time vacancy

Wage: $80,000-90,000 annual salary
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure accuracy in reporting, and lead a high-performing accounting department. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership, analytical thinking, and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Some Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide financial insights to support CEO and Board decision-making
· Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
· Support strategic initiatives of MAPP
· Actively lead and prepare year end by assisting with preparation of: the closing schedule, gathering outstanding invoices & receipts, reviewing asset accounts, reconciling all transactions, closing out accounts receivable & payable, accruals, and adjusting entries.
· Responsible for the accounting management of the ADP payroll system
· Act as main point of contact for special accounting projects
· Ensure the continued compliance with GAAP and that the company’s interim financial statements are complete and consistent
· Active involvement in the physician pay function
· Other duties as required

Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar role
- CPA preferred
- Business Administration/Commerce/ Accounting degree, related certificate, or diploma
- Broad exposure to accounting in a small/mid-sized organization and multi-entity services environment
- Healthcare experience an asset
- Strong working skills in Excel, MS Office
- Experience in Simply Accounting and/or ADP Workforce Now are assets
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work safely and follow all privacy regulations
