About the Role
Protocol Healthcare Recruitment Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child and Youth Worker to support children and youth in reaching their developmental, emotional, and social goals. This is a fully on-site position.
Employment Terms
● Position begins as an Independent Contractor role for the first 6 months, with potential transition to full-time employment based on performance and fit
● Includes a 3-month probationary period
Qualifications & Requirements
● Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience
● College diploma or university degree in Child and Youth Worker services, or Social Service Worker (SSW) — must be presented upon request
● Standard First Aid & CPR Certification required
● Must be prepared to take one of the following trainings: NVCI, SMG, or UMAB. Training is provided with us; candidates must pay upfront, or the cost will be deducted from their first paycheck. Previous certificates from outside training providers will not be accepted
● 3 professional references required
● Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required
● Clear Child Welfare Check required
● Up-to-date Immunization Record required
Key Responsibilities
● Provide direct support and supervision to children and youth
● Implement individualized behavior support and de-escalation strategies
● Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
● Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
● Ensure a safe, supportive environment at all times
