The Tire Storage Associate is responsible for the safe handling, organization, storage, retrieval, and inventory management of customer tires. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient seasonal tire changeovers and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized storage facility.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, label, and accurately store customer tires and wheel assemblies.
· Retrieve and stage tires for scheduled service appointments.
· Maintain accurate tire inventory records using dealership software and storage systems.
· Inspect tires for damage and report concerns to management.
· Load, unload, and transport tires within the dealership and storage facility.
· Assist technicians and service advisors with tire-related requests.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage area.
· Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
· Assist with general shop and service department duties as required.
· Participate in annual tire storage inventory counts and audits.
Qualifications
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
· Ability to lift and move tires weighing up to 75 lbs.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during seasonal peak periods.
· Previous warehouse, tire storage, automotive, or dealership experience is considered an asset.
· Basic computer skills and inventory management experience are an asset.
· Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Physical Requirements
· Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of tires and wheels.
· Standing and walking for extended periods.
· Ability to work in varying temperatures within storage and warehouse environments.
