About the Role
Jerry Zister’s NAPA Autopro Repair Center in Kitchener is looking for an enthusiastic Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this front-line role, you’ll be the connection between our customers and our skilled technicians. From greeting clients and understanding their vehicle concerns to explaining repair options and providing fair estimates, you’ll ensure every customer feels confident and valued. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational ability, and a genuine passion for the automotive industry.
What You’ll Do
Customer Care
- Welcome customers in person, over the phone, or through email in a professional and friendly manner.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and record details accurately.
- Clearly explain recommended repairs, services, and pricing in a way customers can understand.
- Build trust and long-term relationships to encourage loyalty and referrals.
Service Recommendations
- Assess vehicle needs using customer input, service history, and maintenance schedules.
- Recommend appropriate services including diagnostics, brakes, tires, alignments, oil changes, and A/C repairs.
Scheduling & Coordination
- Manage service appointments and keep workflow organized in a busy shop environment.
- Coordinate with technicians to set realistic timelines and update customers promptly.
- Balance multiple service requests while keeping everything running smoothly.
Estimates & Invoicing
- Prepare accurate repair estimates with full transparency.
- Create and manage work orders, ensuring precise billing and payment processing.
Ongoing Communication & Follow-Up
- Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicles.
- Conduct follow-ups after service is completed to ensure satisfaction.
- Address concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions.
Sales & Growth
- Promote NAPA Autopro programs and loyalty benefits.
- Educate customers about preventative maintenance to protect their vehicles.
- Contribute to the shop’s success by supporting repeat business and referrals.
Skills Required
- Some knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and repairs (e.g., brakes, tires, engine diagnostics, air conditioning).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear interactions with customers, technicians, and other staff
- Think quickly on your feet and make decisions that are in the best interest of both the customer and the business.
- Ability to work well within a team, coordinating closely with technicians, managers, and customers.
- Computer savvy and forward thinking.
- Experience with automotive service management software and point-of-sale systems is an asset.
- Familiarity with the NAPA brand, its services, parts, and products, is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
