Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support the full financial cycle
- Learn the financial and operational drivers of the business to become a key member of the leadership team
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring efficient and accurate processes
- Monitor project reporting, including percentage-of-completion accounting and profitability tracking
- Support cash flow management, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Provide timely financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making
- Partner with internal stakeholders on payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and materials payables
- Review project budgets, costs, and overall job performance across multiple construction projects
Qualifications
- CPA designation preferred
- Construction industry is an asset
- Experience with project-based accounting and job costing environments
- Tech-savvy is a must, and implementation experience is ideal
- Ability to work full-time in-office
