Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, concerns, and treatment goals
- Develop customized massage therapy plans utilizing various techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or trigger point therapy
- Perform professional massage treatments in accordance with industry standards and medical guidelines
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation of each session, including client progress and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide self-care advice
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment adhering to health regulations and hygiene protocols
- Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- Valid registration as a Massage Therapist with the appropriate licensing body or regulatory authority
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and client health conditions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Effective communication skills to clearly explain treatments and address client concerns
- Previous experience in a healthcare or wellness setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
