Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Non-Sterile Compounding Assistant to join our growing team. This position involves preparing non-sterile compounded medications in a clean, professional lab setting under pharmacist supervision.
Please note: This is not a training role. Minimum 1 year of non-sterile compounding experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare non-sterile compounds including capsules, creams, ointments, suspensions, and solutions
- Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to formulas and SOPs
- Operate compounding equipment (balances, mixers, capsule machines, etc.)
- Label and package final products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the compounding area
- Ensure adherence to USP <795>, NAPRA standards, and internal SOPs
- Document all work accurately and clearly
- Assist with supply inventory and stock rotation
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on non-sterile compounding experience (required)
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Knowledge of USP <795> and compounding best practices
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Professionalism and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to commute reliably to Oakville, ON
