Enable Medical is a modern, focused EMG/NCS clinic in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. We are looking for an EMG Technologist to join our physician-led electrodiagnostic practice.
This is a full-time permanent role in a bright, comfortable clinic designed for high-quality patient care and an exceptional staff experience. Our practice is dedicated to electromyography and nerve conduction studies, allowing you to build deep expertise in a focused clinical environment.

Qualifications Required
- Graduation from, or current enrolment in, a recognized Electroneurophysiology Technology program
- Certified, or soon eligible to be certified, through one of the following:
- Board of Registered Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC)
- American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM)
- American Association of Electrodiagnostic Testing (AAET)
- Preference will be given to candidates pursuing or holding Canadian certification
- We will consider supporting the right candidate through the EMG Technologist certification process if they are qualified but not yet certified
- Valid visa, permanent residency, or citizenship status allowing permanent employment in Canada
Nice to have, but not required
- At least 1 year of experience performing EMG/NCS
- Experience using TELUS CHR
- Ability to speak a second language
Responsibilities
As an EMG Technologist at Enable Medical, you will work closely with the physician and clinical team to support high-quality electrodiagnostic care. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting and recording nerve conduction studies alongside the physician
- Operating digital EMG/NCS equipment and adjusting settings during testing
- Taking appropriate measurements from test data to demonstrate whether abnormalities are present
- Reviewing referrals, patient history, and clinical information to help determine the appropriate testing approach
- Obtaining focused patient history from the patient or family
- Explaining procedures clearly and helping patients feel comfortable during testing
- Applying electrodes, monitoring patient comfort, and ensuring high-quality recordings
- Formulating technical preliminary reports by analysing recordings, describing abnormal findings, and forwarding impressions to the physician for diagnosis
- Ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and reporting issues for servicing when needed
- Cleaning electrodes and equipment, calibrating equipment, and maintaining accurate testing standards
- Maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and equipment
- Providing input into future equipment and workflow improvements
- Helping recruit and train other EMG Technologists as the team grows
- Supporting the team with related clinic projects and tasks from time to time
