Inspector / Supervisor – Track & Right of Way
Toronto Terminals Railway is seeking a motivated and safety-focused railway professional to join our Track department as an Inspector / Supervisor – Track & Right of Way.
This position plays an important role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and compliance of rail infrastructure within one of Canada’s busiest rail corridors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct walking and hi-rail inspections of track and right of way infrastructure
- Perform switch, joint, rail wear, and track condition inspections
- Identify track deficiencies and prioritize maintenance requirements
- Coordinate and support maintenance activities and track repair programs
- Ensure compliance with Transport Canada, Metrolinx, and company standards
- Complete inspection reports, condition assessments, and maintenance documentation
- Support rail flaw and geometry testing programs
- Assist with planning and coordinating maintenance activities and work programs
- Promote and maintain safe work practices within the operating environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of railway track inspection, maintenance, or right of way experience
- Supervisory or crew coordination experience is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of railway rules, procedures, and safety standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced rail environment
- Valid Ontario G Class Driver’s License required
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Salary Range: $95,000 – $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and railway operational expertise.
Candidates with extensive railway inspection and supervisory experience may be considered toward the higher end of the range
Pay: $95,000.00-$125,000.00 per year

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Railway: 3 years (required)
- Supervisory : 2 years (preferred)
- Railway Rules: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence G Class (required)
