Award winning Upholstery Manufacturer in Woodbridge is hiring a Head Merchandiser to join our team. You will lead the style direction for a growing group of upholstery companies.
Position Responsibilities
- Using your creativity to create stylish floor plans using AUTOCAD for our furniture showroom
- Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company’s objectives
- Analyse sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges
- Collaborate with team members to execute sales and marketing campaigns, and projects
- Review fabric samples, making selections and recommendations to purchase when needed.
- Merchandising the lifestyle with fabrics
- Present merchandising theme for different collections
- Design furniture for Upholstery and accents for home
- Present marketing ideas and programs to merchandise the product to sales management
- Working on design with our Product Development department
- Conducting market research on style directions in upholstery, occasional tables with accent pieces
- Strategize themes for the year
- Research the market monthly and present to the management team
- Will require working over weekends during the year
- Travel to the U.S. and Europe over 6 times a year
- You are a creative individual who will come up with new ideas to strategize sales increase in North America
Minimum Requirements
- Skilled in AUTOCAD
- Great design sense to apply fabrics to lifestyles
- Ability to work exclusively on-site
- Excellent sense of design, esthetics and composition.
- Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends
- Hands-on experience developing campaigns and customer relationships
