We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, using software such as Opendental.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in compliance with health regulations.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently, including handling any inquiries related to dental procedures.
- Support the dental receptionist with administrative tasks as needed, including managing patient communications and billing inquiries.
- Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to dental assisting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with familiarity in crown and bridges, pediatric patients being a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Opendental is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including children in pediatric dentistry settings.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
