Job Summary
The Automotive Service Technician plays a key role in ensuring vehicles are diagnosed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with the Service Advisor and the rest of our shop team to keep workflow efficient, safe, and customer-focused.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using proper tools and equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicle systems including engines, brakes, suspension, and steering
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all work meets quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent
- Communicate effectively with the Service Advisor regarding findings and recommendations
- Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Support smooth operational workflow within the shop
- Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs when required

Requirements / Skills
- Registered Automotive Service Technician Apprentice (required)
- Red Seal Certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair processes
- Ability to work required hours (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical reasoning skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 driver’s licence
- Previous automotive shop experience is a strong asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$35.00 per hour
