About us
We're Enning Blinds, a Calgary blinds manufacturer. We make custom blinds and shades right here in our own NE Calgary shop with a 5-day turnaround, and install them in homes and businesses across the city. Because we manufacture locally, work is steady year-round.
About the job
You'll install custom blinds, shades, and window coverings at customer homes and businesses around Calgary. Between install jobs, you'll help with production and assembly in our shop — so there's always work, and you'll learn the product inside and out.
No blinds experience needed — we provide paid training. If you've done renovations, finishing carpentry, handyman work, cabinet or closet installs, or any hands-on work where you measure carefully and use power tools, you can learn this job quickly.
What you'll do:
- Install blinds and shades in homes and businesses (drilling, mounting, leveling, ladder work)
- Measure windows accurately for custom orders
- Load and prep product at our shop before install runs
- Help with blinds production and assembly in the shop
- Be friendly and professional with customers — show up on time, do clean work
What you need:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record
- Comfortable with power tools — drill, level, ladders
- Careful and accurate with measurements
- Reliable and presentable in customers' homes
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- English sufficient to communicate with customers
Nice to have (not required — we train):
- Experience installing blinds, curtains, closets, cabinets, or trim
- Renovation, carpentry, or general labour background
Pay and perks:
- $17/hour during your paid training period (first 3 months)
- After training: production bonus based on blinds installed and produced, paid out bi-weekly with your regular paycheque — typically an extra $50–$200/month, and it grows as you get faster and better
