Job Overview
Kids Childcare + Preschool is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Supply Childcare Educator to join our team. This flexible, on-call position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and can support our classrooms when regular staff members are away.
Duties
- Provide a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for children
- Support daily classroom routines, activities, meals, and transitions
- Engage children through age-appropriate play and learning experiences
- Work collaboratively with educators and follow classroom programming
- Maintain positive and professional communication with children, families, and colleagues
- Follow all centre policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures
Skills
- Experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting is preferred
- Registered Early Childhood Educator designation is an asset but not required
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Up-to-date immunization and medical documentation
- Reliable, flexible, patient, and able to work well as part of a team
- Availability on short notice is an asset
- Passion for supporting children's growth through engaging educational experiences
