Qualified Mechanical or electrical engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for the planning and managing of plant engineering, This includes reliability activities, mechanical integrity, maintenance, technical changes, project management and technical documentation.
2. Manage, direct, organize and administer the site capital investment program to ensure that the projects are completed on time in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner according to the Evonik BTD. The projects portfolio management has to be ensured according to the BL strategy
3. Manage and direct the Maintenance Departments to ensure maximum safety, efficiency, proficiency and maintaining harmonious, constructive, and productive labor management (including contractors) working relationships
4. Accountable for the continuous improvement, reliability, technical care and condition of the physical assets in cooperation with the Site Director/Manager and Plant Manager and other company service providers
5. Ensure Engineering and Maintenance department-related EHS performance, quality, budget, leadership targets and other agreed goals are achieved and that appropriate KPIs are measured to objectively assess departmental performance
6. Accountable for the implementation of capital projects in cooperation with internal and external engineering groups
7. Optimize preventive/predictive/corrective/emergency maintenance activities and process at the base by frequently reviewing/evaluating the inspection results and intervals according Evonik BTD & guideline and best practices
8. Perform any routine maintenance tasks as required, and capable of performing
9. Responsible according the ESHQ Delegation that the production and supporting units meet compliance with regulatory and Evonik requirements in the area of Process Safety Management, MoC, Mechanical Integrity and Binding Technical Documents
10. Ensures continuous improvement of reliability, availability and maintainability of multiple production units, support systems and site infrastructure (i.e. waste water treatment, utilities, etc.)
11. Apply ISO 14001, ISO-9001: 2000 and RC 14001 standard requirements to all areas of the department.
12. As accountable for the material management in the technical service area, the function is responsible to maintain an inventory of operating equipment, spare parts and supplies and to implement all processes required to minimize plant downtime and to maximize employee work efficiency.
13. Accountable to ensure a compliant contractor management on site & operational technology management
14. Accountable to optimize the balance between work done by Evonik employees and contractors
15. Accountable for the plant documentation for the site
16. Manage the maintenance, inventory, and parts ordering SAP modules

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree - Engineering or Mechanical
Demonstrated leadership skills: developing direct reports/people management skills; employee relations; strategic planning; interpersonal and team skills.
Financial and business process understanding. Exposure to corporate structure and culture. Basic HSE and quality knowledge.
Basic catalyst knowledge-product and processes.
Internal and external plant focal point/community relations.
Ability to utilize computer-based tools/software, understands and generates comprehensive written documentation and communicates effectively with all levels of the organization.
Able to travel as required.
