We are currently looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join our expanding outpatient clinics in a temporary full-time position for 18-months. Working collaboratively with other clinic teams, you’ll provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients from arrival through departure, checking in patients contributing to clinic readiness. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcome patients, complete check-ins, explain exams and procedures, coordinate workflow and guide preparation, maintain accurate records, address questions, ease concerns, and ensure patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
- Respond to inbound inquiries, maintain an organized patient-ready environment, and assist with other related clerical tasks.
- Ensure a seamless booking experience accurately booking diagnostic imaging appointments.
- Partner across departments to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and patient experience.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills and build new competencies.
- Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma in Medical Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Experience greeting patients and completing check-ins, verifying documentation and maintaining accurate records, with an interest in ongoing skill development.
- Proven ability to coordinate and book diagnostic imaging or other medical appointments across multiple clinics.
- Background supporting workflow in partnership with other clinical teams, preparing and guiding patients throughout their visit, and contributing to the overall clinic readiness.
- Skilled using electronic medical record and radiology information systems, and clinical software such as Netcare, along with Microsoft Office.
- A history of remarkable care, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility.
What We Offer
- Starting Wage: $23.15 CAD/ Hourly
- Vacation: 2 weeks
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
- Benefits: Full coverage after a 90-day probationary period.
