Role: Mechanical Quality Control Technician
Location: Saskatoon
Work Schedule: Day Shift, Monday – Thursday, 7AM – 5:30PM.

As a Production Technician – Mechanical Quality Control, you are the final checkpoint before an ambulance leaves our facility. In this hands-on mechanical role, you will physically inspect, test, adjust, and repair components to ensure everything fits, functions, and performs exactly as intended. This role spends the majority of the day on the shop floor using tools and working directly on completed vehicles.
This position is well suited to individuals with trades, mechanical, automotive, fabrication, or hands-on assembly backgrounds. Experience in laboratory testing, quality engineering, or document-focused quality systems will not be directly applicable to the day-to-day work. If you enjoy working with tools, diagnosing mechanical issues, and making things work the way they should, this role will feel familiar.
As a Mechanical Quality Control technician, you will be able to:
- Perform mechanical quality inspections on completed ambulances
- Conduct fit and function testing on items such as:
- cabinets and doors
- stretchers and mounting systems
- medical equipment mounts
- oxygen and suction systems
- Identify deficiencies and complete mechanical adjustments or repairs
- Perform oxygen, suction, load, and weight testing
- Complete weight analysis and prepare supporting information sheets
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Use hand and power tools confidently and safely
- Measure accurately down to 1/32”
- Ensure work meets Crestline’s quality standards and applicable ISO requirements through proper installation and testing
- Adhere to safe work practices.
- Carry, push, pull and lift up to 50lbs.
- Reach forward and overhead at or beyond a full arms length for an extended period of time.
