Job Summary
Our progressive manufacturing client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst specializing in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) software suite. In this role, you will serve as a vital bridge between business needs and technical solutions, leveraging your expertise in data analysis, project management, and system integration. Duties
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for JD Edwards modules and related systems.
- Design and develop solutions within JD Edwards to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance user experience.
- Lead system implementation projects following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Utilize tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Business Intelligence platforms to create dashboards and visualizations that support data-driven decisions.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis using SQL, R, Python, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Bash scripting to extract insights and identify trends.
- Develop database designs and manage data integrity across multiple platforms including Oracle and SQL Server environments.
- Support Agile project methodologies by participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement.
- Create detailed process diagrams using Visio to illustrate workflows and system integrations for stakeholder clarity.
- Perform analysis of existing systems to identify gaps or inefficiencies; recommend actionable improvements aligned with business goals.
- Assist in training end-users on JD Edwards functionalities and reporting tools to maximize system adoption.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst 4+ yrs exp with a specific experience on JD Edwards in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of various JD Edwards modules from distribution to manufacturing.
- Proficiency in SQL programming along with experience in database design and management using Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, VBA, and Bash scripting for Unix/Linux environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications and actionable solutions.
- Excellent analysis skills with the capacity to interpret large datasets accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with system integration processes involving JD Edwards modules and third-party applications.
- Effective communication skills to liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders confidently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
