Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Maintenance/Project Manager, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the maintenance and operation of all equipment throughout the plant. All tasks must be completed while strictly adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. The Millwright is required to troubleshoot and repair equipment such as conveyor systems, production and packaging machinery. They are also required to install, dismantle, repair, reassemble and move machinery within the facility. Applicant must be able to work both independantly and within a team. Electrical and PLC operation knowledge would be an asset. Welding/Fabrication experience would be an asset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on motors, drive units, pneumatics, conveyor systems, electrical systems and production machines.
2. Learn the setup and operation of equipment. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and/ or using precision measuring/ testing instruments
3. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools, examining form and texture of parts
4. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments
5. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bops and straightedges
6. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment; conserves maintenance resources by using equipment/ supplies as needed to obtain desired results
7. Maintains a clean workplace

Pay: $39.00-$55.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kamloops, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Red Seal Millwright: 2 years (preferred)
- Welding/Fabrication: 2 years (preferred)
