Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing operation in Windsor, Ontario. This role is focused on machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair within a production environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, experience working in manufacturing, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and equipment reliability. Must be available for a steady afternoon shift.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production and packaging equipment issues in a timely manner
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery and plant equipment
- Support production by responding to breakdowns and equipment failures during shift operations
- Inspect machines, conveyors, motors, pumps, pneumatic systems, and mechanical components for wear or damage
- Complete mechanical repairs, adjustments, and equipment changeovers as required
- Assist with installation and setup of new equipment and machinery improvements
- Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and preventative maintenance documentation
- Work closely with production and leadership teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain clean and organized maintenance work areas and tools
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, machine repair, or industrial maintenance
- Experience working with production, assembly, or packaging equipment preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, motors, and mechanical systems
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Forklift or lift truck experience considered an asset
Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
