Job Title: Mental Health and Wellness Clinician (Addictions & Substance Use)
Salary: $40.17 - $44.29
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Hours: Mon – Fri (35 hrs)

About The Role
Reporting to the Health Manager, The Mental Health and Wellness Clinician works as a member of the overall health team and plays a lead role in the establishment of a community-based mental health program – one that includes addressing critical gaps in the mental health services and programs. In coordination with other service providers and professionals, provides a range of mental health services including: assessment, counselling programs, referrals for treatment and follow-up treatment, after care and rehabilitation to clients, consultation/liaison with other Health/social services agencies and the community; provision of community education and awareness raising of nature mental health; and program development and evaluation. The position also is intended to provide support for intervention in crisis situations in order to reduce the number of suicide attempts and other violent crisis situations – with a strong youth focus.
Qualifications
· Post-graduate (Master’s level) in one of the following disciplines: MSW (Clinical specialization or equivalent training), M.Ed (Counselling), MA (Clinical Psychology), Master’s Degree in Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at Master’s level.
· Experience working or linking with First Nation Communities.

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.
