Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HOME BUILDER/CARPENTER to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of construction, including blueprint reading, concrete forming, restoration, siding, carpentry, and the operation of heavy equipment. This role requires a versatile professional capable of performing a wide range of tasks to ensure the successful completion of building projects with precision and safety. The Carpenter will contribute to both residential and commercial construction projects, utilizing their expertise in hand tools, power tools, woodworking, welding, and schematics to deliver high-quality results.
Duties
- Interpret and follow detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for construction projects
- Construct and install concrete forms and perform concrete finishing tasks with accuracy
- Execute restoration work including siding installation and general carpentry repairs
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support various phases of construction
- Use hand tools and power tools for framing, siding, woodworking, and other building tasks
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move materials and equipment around the job site
- Weld metal components as needed for structural support or repair work
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding or other temporary structures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or related fields such as carpentry, concrete finishing, or restoration
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and welding procedures is preferred
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during 12-hour shifts
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with siding installation or woodworking is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
