Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality and Safety Assistant to support our maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA systems and SMS.
QC Duties
- Assist departments with completion of corrective actions
- Regularly audit completed maintenance work packs for compliance with company procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the PRM
QA Duties
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly, providing feedback
- Draft corrective and preventative actions, and record progress as per the QA system.
- Conduct audits of all areas of the company related to the performance of aircraft maintenance
SMS Duties
- Work with the Safety Manager to ensure SMS goals are met
- Conduct safety audits
- Contribute to the development of safety protocols to foster a safe working environment
Experience
- Prior experience in aircraft maintenance QA mandatory
- Prior experience with SMS a strong asset
- Experience with RAAS as a strong asset
- Experience with Centrik a strong asset
- Strong skills in word processing, auditing, data collection, analysis, and reporting are essential for success in this role.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams are required.
- Previous experience in a quality or safety role is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates eager to learn.
