Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment safely and efficiently. The Warehouse Associate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth logistics flow, accurate inventory management, and timely delivery of products.
Duties
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes while adhering to safety protocols
- Operate warehouse management systems such as AS400 to track inventory and order status
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipments, and receipts
- Assist with order fulfillment processes including packaging and labeling products
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing goods
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment such as forklifts and order pickers
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals in manufacturing or distribution environments
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse procedures
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including forklift, reach truck, crane, and order picker
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and tools
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and inventory control practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in warehouse distribution, manufacturing, or construction settings preferred
- Skilled in order picking, packaging, load & unload operations, and order fulfillment processes
- Good understanding of warehouse safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate inventory management
