Diabetes Management Centre
The Barrie Community Health Centre is seeking a full-time permanent Diabetes Educator, Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Dietitian (RD), to join our Diabetes Management Centre.
What you will do:
As a member of the Adult Diabetes Management Centre team, you will work alongside fellow Registered Dietitians, Registered Nurses and Endocrinologists.
You will provide individual teaching and counseling to clients living with Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes and Prediabetes in an outpatient setting.
What you bring to the role:
- Undergraduate degree in Nursing (BScN) from a recognized university/Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition Science
- Registration in good standing with the with the College of Nurses of Ontario/College of Dietitians of Ontario
- 2-3 years recent and relevant experience as in Nursing or community nutrition with a focus on diabetes education preferred
- Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) an asset
- Demonstrated experience in effective teamwork
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with electronic medical record systems

· $33.24-$41.84 per hour
