Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Assistant to support classroom activities and foster a positive learning environment for young children. This role involves assisting lead teachers in implementing educational programs, engaging with children, and ensuring a safe and nurturing space for early development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a background in early childhood education or related experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing daily classroom activities tailored to early childhood development.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and educational growth through engaging interactions and supervision.
- Help with classroom management, including maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Provide individualized attention to children, including those with disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation.
- Support basic educational activities such as reading stories, practicing math concepts, and encouraging creative play.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative learning atmosphere.
- Observe and document children’s progress to inform instructional strategies and support developmental milestones.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred.
- Experience in teaching or supporting early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Knowledge of basic math concepts suitable for early learners.
- Passion for early childhood development and creating an inclusive learning environment.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
