Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team in providing exceptional in-home care for our clients. Based in Edmonton, this role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver compassionate, personalized health services that improve lives.
Work Hours
This position may include a variety of shifts, such as days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, across one or more client locations.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Medication Reminders.
- Support clients with dementia or disabilities through tailored care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition.
- Assist with meal preparation to meet dietary needs.
- Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience in home health support or caregiving roles.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) for documentation, reporting, and client interaction
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with a reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to work independently in private homes
- Professionalism, reliability, and strong time-management skills
- Physical ability to safely perform job duties (standing, lifting, transfers)
Education
- Health Care Aide (HCA) Certification or Post-secondary education in healthcare, social services, or a related field (preferred)
