Canadian Countertops is seeking a hardworking and motivated Installation Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn the trade, support experienced installers, and grow within a company known for premium countertop fabrication and installation.
Position Overview
As an Installation Assistant, you will work closely with our Lead Installers to ensure jobsites run smoothly and efficiently. Your primary role will be to assist with transportation, preparation, handling, and installation of quartz, porcelain, and natural stone countertops. This is an excellent opportunity to build skills in a specialized trade while contributing to high-quality residential and commercial projects across Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
Job Duties
- Assist the Lead Installer with transporting materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Safely lift, carry, and position heavy countertop materials (with guidance and team support).
- Support the removal of existing countertops when required.
- Help with on-site fabrication, cutting, and adjustments as directed.
- Assist in preparing, installing, repairing, and rebuilding stone surfaces.
- Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Support shop tasks such as finishing, polishing, and material handling when not on-site.
- Properly arrange and store materials, tools, and equipment.
- Help maintain company vehicles, ensuring they are kept clean and in good condition.
Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience in construction, cabinetry, or stone installation is an asset but not required-willingness to learn is key.
- Comfort using basic hand tools (grinders, drills, polishers) is an advantage.
- Ability to lift and handle 100+ lbs safely (team-assisted when needed).
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and motivation to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Availability to work overtime or occasional Saturdays as required.

Location: Delta, BC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays and overtime as required
