Welders are responsible for welding various metals and sheet metal components using a variety of Tig and Mig welding machines and techniques.
Main Job Duties:
- General fabrication using stainless, and mild steel
- Fabrication of pipes, tubes, and hoses
- Site installation of hydraulic systems
- Identify machine issues and either fix or report them
Skills and Attributes:
- Operate welding equipment using GMAW, FCAW, MCAW processes
- Stainless steel experience
- Read and interpret shop drawings
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Maintain shop area and equipment
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Well organized
- Punctual and dependable
- Must work well, both in a team and unsupervised
Experience:
- At least 1-year proven Tig and Mig welding experience is essential
- Previous experience in welding steel, aluminum and stainless steel
