Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Surgical Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Coordinate surgical schedules by collaborating with surgeons, patients, and clinical staff to ensure timely procedures.
- Prepare and verify all necessary documentation, including medical histories, consent forms, and pre-operative instructions.
- Manage patient records using electronic medical records systems (Accuro) ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding pre-surgical questions, appointment reminders, and post-operative instructions.
- Facilitate communication between the front desk team, medical staff, and Management to streamline authorization and billing processes.
- Oversee the preparation of surgical rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for procedures.
- Maintain detailed logs of surgeries performed, patient progress notes, and other administrative records with meticulous attention to detail.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a medical, med spa or dental office environment with familiarity in surgical coordination or administrative support.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records systems such as Accuro or similar platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, clinical staff, and external providers.
- Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and handling front desk responsibilities as needed.
- Previous experience in medical office administration is preferred; office experience is essential.
