Meridian Hauling is currently seeking a self-motivated, experienced, full time, licensed, 3rd year heavy duty diesel apprentice to journeyman designation. We have a fleet of 15 hook lift trucks that require regular maintenance and upkeep to keep them looking and operating like new.

- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system
Responsibilities:
- Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service, and repair of heavy duty
- Identify potential and future problems
- Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts
- Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed
- Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order
- Order parts and supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change
Qualifications:
- 3rd Year Heavy Duty Apprentice to Journeyman Designation
- Safety Inspections Certificate an asset
- Air Brake Endorsement is an asset
- Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T)
- Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade
- Valid Class Three with Air Driver's License an asset (for road tests)
- Team player with strong commitment to doing high quality work
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiar with the tools of the trade and personally equipped with adequate supply of hand tool
- Valid driver's licence
