Cook -On call position
Join our team as a part-time / casual Chef / Cook, where your passion for cooking and dedication to creating nutritious, child-focused meals will help shape healthy habits for young learners! This role emphasizes supporting meal prep, assisting in the kitchen, and serving food to classrooms in accordance with the Canada Food Guide.

- Experience in childcare, preschool, or commercial kitchens
- Clear communication skills
- Knowledgeable in health and food safety standards
- Recent culinary program graduates are welcome!
Responsibilities:
- Preparing nutritious meals and snacks from approved menus
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards
- Collaborate with staff on dietary needs and adjustments for children
- Serve meals in classrooms and help teachers during break periods
- Clean and maintain dishes, equipment, and food preparation areas
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience in preschools, restaurants, or commercial kitchens
- Food Handler Certification
- ECE Level 1 Certification
- Culinary arts diploma / degree
- Bachelor’s degree is an asset
- First Aid Certification
- Clear criminal records check
- English proficiency
