Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete finishing, masonry, and related trades, with the ability to work efficiently on various projects including restoration, renovation, and new construction. This role requires a good understanding of heavy equipment operation, and the use of hand and power tools to deliver high-quality concrete surfaces. The Concrete Finisher will play a vital role in ensuring that all concrete work meets safety standards, specifications, and client expectations.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, trowels, and power tools to achieve smooth, level finishes.
- Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints to prepare for pouring concrete.
- Assist with concrete pouring, leveling, and curing processes while maintaining safety protocols.
- Conduct repairs and touch-ups on existing concrete surfaces during renovation projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling tools and disposing of debris following safety guidelines.
- Follow schematics and technical instructions for complex projects involving concrete forming and finishing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction trades.
- Mechanical knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skills in rebar installation, concrete forming, caulking, flooring installation, and restoration techniques.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills in concrete finishing.
Pay: $33.00-$40.00 per hour

- Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 4A5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Concrete finishing: 1 year (preferred)
