Job Summary:
Howard Johnson by Wyndham Brampton is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Make beds and change linens.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and public areas.
- Replenish guest amenities, towels, toiletries, and linens.
- Remove garbage and recycling from guest rooms, hallways, and public areas.
- Collect, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel laundry, including bed linens, towels, and other hotel linens.
- Stock housekeeping carts, laundry rooms, and storage areas with required supplies and amenities.
- Report maintenance issues, lost and found items, and damaged equipment to management.
- Ensure housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies are used safely and stored properly.
- Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping storage rooms and laundry areas.
- Follow all hotel safety, hygiene, and security procedures.
- Perform other housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Good communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
