Verti-Crete of Toronto is a manufacturing company of precast concrete products such as retaining wall blocks, sound barrier fence panels, columns, window wells, etc.
We are seeking a dependable shop labourer to join our precast concrete manufacturing team. The successful candidate will assist in the production of retaining wall blocks and other precast concrete products, helping to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of retaining wall blocks and other precast concrete products
- Prepare, clean and set up molds for daily production
- Pour, finish and strip concrete products according to quality standard
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely
- Follow workplace safety procedures
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, concrete, or general labour is an asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor and indoor environment
- Comfortable lifting, carrying and moving materials
- Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
