Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Insurance Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping clients understand their insurance options and make informed decisions that best suit their needs. This position requires a strong sales background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Service ICBC, Travel, and Personal Lines clients.
- Manage customer accounts from start to finish—processing payments, issuing new policies, handling renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Provide support and assistance to office producers.
- Connect with potential clients to understand their insurance needs and offer personalized solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through clear communication and regular follow-ups.
- Stay updated on the latest insurance products and trends to best serve your clients.
- Negotiate policy terms to ensure clients get the best coverage possible.
- Help clients complete their insurance applications and ensure all documentation is accurate.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to client inquiries across multiple channels (phone, email, etc.), always aiming for a smooth and timely resolution.
- Report claims and offer ongoing support to clients throughout the claims process.
- Process payments and diligently follow up on outstanding balances.
- Ensure all documentation, policy details, and processes are accurate and compliant with regulations.
Qualification & Skills:
- Level 1 BC General Insurance License required, Level 2 preferred.
- Proficient in Insurance Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proven experience in sales, particularly in insurance or related fields.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify client needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and accurate completion of work.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
