Job Summary
A parts runner is a highly mobile role responsible for transporting equipment, or industrial parts between warehouses, vendors, and job sites. They support mechanics and technicians by ensuring the right components are delivered promptly to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
Duties
- Transport parts and equipment safely using company vehicles between repair facilities, vendors, and clients
- Assemble, pick, and check parts orders for technicians to ensure the right components reach the right repair bays on time
- Loading and unloading shipments, unpack inventory, and prepare old cores for return to the manufacturer
- Organize the parts warehouse, track inventory levels, and help conduct stock counts
- Keep the workspace and storage areas clean, clear of debris, and properly stocked with supplies
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Skills
- General knowledge of maintenance industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Responsible with strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability
- Proven working knowledge of safe packing methods and standard cargo securement practices for transport
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, standing, and handling materials
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment
- Forklift Operator Certificate
