Orleans Ideal Urgent Care Clinic is looking for Nurse Practitioners to join our team on a contract basis. Multiple positions available. Whether you're looking for part-time evening/day shifts or full-time coverage, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
We're expanding our clinical team and are actively seeking NPs who can help us provide reliable, high-quality urgent care to our community. Positions are primarily focused on evening coverage (3:00 PM to 8:00 PM), with flexibility to adjust to shifts like 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM or 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM based on your availability. Daytime coverage (roughly 8:00/9:00 AM to 3:00/4:00 PM) is also available as a secondary option. We're open to discussing scheduling that works for you, so even if the exact hours listed don't perfectly match your availability, we encourage you to apply and let's talk.
Schedule Options
- Evening shifts (primary need): 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with flexible start/end options (e.g., 4 to 8pm, 5 to 9pm)
- Daytime shifts (secondary): 8/9:00 AM to 3/4:00 PM

What Makes Our Clinic Different
We're the only urgent care clinic in Ottawa with on-site X-ray, laboratory, and ultrasound services, giving you the ability to order and often receive diagnostic results the same visit, without sending patients elsewhere. What We Offer
- Independent contractor arrangement with competitive, experience-based compensation starting at $75/hour and up, based on scope of practice and comfort performing minor procedures (e.g., suturing/stitches, wound closure, splinting/casting, incision and drainage of abscesses, foreign body removal, joint injections, and other point-of-care procedures within NP scope)
- On-site X-ray, lab, and ultrasound diagnostics, no need to send patients out for imaging or blood-work
- Work alongside experienced physicians and a full nursing support team throughout the day, you're never working in isolation

- Flexibility to build the schedule that works for your life, whether that's a couple of evenings a week or a fuller weekly commitment
What We're Looking For
- Active, unrestricted registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), Extended Class
- Comfort working both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced urgent care/walk-in setting, alongside a supportive team of RNs, RPNs, and physicians. Our physicians are always happy to consult on cases, and we pride ourselves on a genuinely positive, team-oriented working environment.
- Strong clinical assessment and triage skills across a broad range of presentations
- Willingness to perform minor procedures within your scope and comfort level (training/support available where needed)
- Own professional liability insurance/protection (e.g., through CNPS or equivalent)
