Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and technical skills to ensure vehicles and machinery operate safely and efficiently. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles and machinery using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on automobiles, heavy equipment, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment
- Operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
- Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or custom modifications
- Assist in assembly and disassembly of vehicle components or industrial equipment during repairs or upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and maintains high quality workmanship
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each job
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs and solutions clearly to clients
Experience
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic with dealership experience preferred
- Hands-on experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other heavy equipment is advantageous
- Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery or similar industrial equipment is a plus
- Skilled in welding, electrical work, HVAC systems, and farm machinery repair
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues
- Experience operating power tools, hand tools, industrial equipment, and performing heavy lifting safely
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in customer service within an automotive or industrial setting is beneficial
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
